Nor Sham Hasan is the manager of the Centre for Medical Electronic
Technology (CMET), Politeknik Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah.
She received her bachelor of science degree in Electrical Engineering
from the University of Miami, USA and her masters in Microelectronics
from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia in 1988 and 2006, respectively.
During the setting up of CMET’s Biomedical Calibration Laboratory
(BMCL) in 2010, she was assigned as the technical head for the
laboratory. Her responsibilities included to lead the research in
developing the calibration procedures, measurement uncertainty
estimation budget tables and other technical requirements to comply
with the ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation standards.
Her career as a Polytechnic lecturer garners 29 years of experience in
instructional lecturing in Electrical and Electronic courses and 11 years
in the field of metrology. At BMCL, she is currently certified as the
approved signatory for Non-Invasive Blood Pressure Simulator,
Multiparameter/Electrocardiograph (ECG)/ Patient Simulator and
Syringe Pump calibration.
