This researched product aims to evaluate adsorption performance (%) of polyethylene (PE) and polypropylene (PP), NaOH, sawdust, and corn cob (CC) super adsorbent to solidify waste cooking oil (WCO). Advantageously, this WCO solid-gel cake can be directly disposed of in a garbage bag. OPWOS also can help to solidify the WCO right after cooking. Therefore, OPWOS significantly reduces the WCO down to the drain. The blends of hydrophobic polymer plastic wastes and oleophilic super fibrous cellulose show a high affinity for oil solidification. The resulting OPWOS in WCO concluded that the higher the weight of polymer plastic, the faster the time taken to solidify the WCO, the hardener the WCO solid-gel cake. This is because the plastic wastes blended with cellulose fibrous adsorbents provide higher pores and voids in the absorbent OPWOS structure. The future idea of OPWOS is highly recommended for the high-rise residential to manage their WCO easily by converting the WCO to WCO sol-gel cake, hence, avoiding the domestic oil spill and clogging the drains.
