Dr. Sithi V. Muniandy is currently a Professor of Theoretical Physics at the Department of Physics, Faculty of Science, Universiti Malaya (UM). 

He obtained his DPhil in Mathematics from University of Oxford in 1998, MSc in Theoretical Physics from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) in 1995, and BSc(Hons) in Physics from UKM in 1992. His research specializations are in statistical physics and quantum dynamics, with research interest covering topics from stochastic and fluctuation dynamics; to transport phenomena in classical and quantum systems (anomalous diffusion, nonlinear dynamics in complex plasmas, quantum walk in noisy channels, tensor network formalism for quantum Ising model, physics of information). 

Prof. Sithi is also actively involved in various research collaborations and STEM education, and currently is the Director of the Centre for Theoretical and Computational Physics at UM. He may be contacted at msithi@um.edu.my for further details.
