The Muslim Friendly Hotel Rating System is the first of its kind to rate hotels according to the needs of Muslim tourists. The rating is based on the closeness of the food, facilities, service, delivery system, human resources to Islamic values. Assesements are conducted by qualified auditors certified by INHART. The total points scored by the hotel determines the rank of the hotel in terms Muslim friendliness to the customers.
This is one of the successful research product sponsored by the Ministry of Higher Education to enhance tourism. The invention was led by Dr. Khairusy Syakirin Has-yun Hashim from Kulliyyah of Architechture and Built Environment.
